|  Emperor Angelfish
I was woundering if anyone out there thinks an Emperor Angelfish would work in a 100 gallon(60x18x20)? They have a very young one at the store( around 2 inches) but I know they can get around a foot long. _________ 15 Gallon Nano, Current USA 80 watt PC Light, Pengiun HOB Refug, Pair of clowns one ocellaris and one purcula!

It should be fine, atleast for awhile anyway, and as long as you aren't putting it in with corals and inverts. Many of them may get eaten, so you don't want to run the risk of that happening...they are gorgeous!!!!
I would pull up info about them on the internet and do a little research to help you with it's long term success however! I've sucessfully had Emperiors in a 72 and a 130. As long as the water quality is good and you don't over stock you should be good. Make sure you get some Angel specific food to supplement your regular feeding.

The Angel food has sponge in it( a specific diet for Angels).Their is a specific Angel food as their is for Triggers, comes in cube form and is available at many pet shops or online! | |

Yep, personally I prefer Ocean Nutrition's Angel Formula. If you can get the jumbo cubes vs. the smaller in individual "tubs" you can get it on the cheap. One of my local LFS stocks an jumbo combined flat pack that is a mix of their most popular frozed foods for pretty cheap. $35ish for 2 pounds. | |

Sweet, thanks guys. Ive been on the net reading up for the last few days, but ive wanted one before I even had salt, lol. Everyone has tangs in there tank, and I just wanted something different. As for corals, I dont think im gonna have tomany. Ill just have to try and see what the angle thinks, but nothing expensive. Im gonna wait a month or two before I get one just to make sure the tank is ready to go, and Im gonna get a young one. They have them all the time around the 2-4 inch range, and there only 50 bucks. | |

I just noticed that your tank is cycling. Good idea on waiting. Jr. Emperiors are fun as you get to watch them change and they seem to acclimate to tank life a little better than captured adults. Emperiors will nip at almost anything, so most corals are pretty much out. Think FOWLER.
