there are several techniques I have seen used with Clown fish that could be adapted. you can put a piece of broken clay pot were they usually lay. Then once they lay on the clay you can remove that to a small tank. the tank will need to have very good o2 and quality water. The problem arise trying to find a way to get bring main tank water in and out of this tank without flushing the fry into a overflow.
Next you will have to get a very good food source like fresh hatched brine or rotifers.

It's a lot of work and would recommend getting Clownfishes by J. Wilkerson

You have to use a different (smaller) strain of rotifers for damsel fry. Honestly, its just not worth the money to do it. The first couple batches you are guaranteed to lose atleast 95% of the fry and thats if the rotifers dont crash on you. You have to be dedciated to doing it, its not just in your spare time kinda thing. If you're doing it for money, you will lose out everytime. A buddy of mine is a clownfish breeder. Ive posted pics on here before from his tanks. He wont bother with damsels cause its just not worth it.

bare bottom tanks for rearing them. You need to get a filter sponge that works with a air pump and run it in your main tank to get the bacteria built up in it.

I have a air driven filter and so far its looked like they have all been fertilized.
From day to day you can see them develop with a big magnifying glass.
You can see the eyes after about the 4th day and about the 5th or 6th day they start going from round to long then the 7th and 8th day its a feeding frenzy.
