| Is 20 ppm really that bad I read that as long as your other parameters are okay its not that big of a deal to have some NO3.
As far as I understood it it was only bad from the point of affecting your PH Etc. |

| All of my corals are doing fine with the exception of my two goni's. They havent extented their polps in a while. Some ppl say 20ppm isnt THAT bad, but I'd rather have it at 0-5ppm so I can sleep at night. _________ 9YR OLD 90G/55g custom sump/refug Mag18 Aquac 180skimmer 692w MH AC jr,yel&kole tang, midas&convict blenny,B&G chromies,Blk/yel fin chromie blackcap, nemo, neon goby,6line; Blastomussa Merleti,Acan ,BUBBLE,Torch,LTA, Acropora(2) Moon, assort zoas, yel& G star polyps, P&B ricordia, montiporas, cup&candy corals, xenias,B/G mush, flower ane(2), cherry red mussa, dusters, cleaning crew.. |

| Have to be conscientious regarding the number of fish(bioload) to the filtration being employed. If you are running a bigger skimmer than it calls for your particular tank, and have a nice array of corals, clams, and other filter feeders, along with live rock and sand, you are going to be fine. Placing macro algae in your tank(refugium/sump) will also help with dissolved oxygen and removing nitrates and phosphates. Add carbon form time to time and continue weekly water changes. _________ 125gal.w/Mag9.5 return(dual megaflow)>Mag7 pump Aqua Cev180skimmer.Wave2k Hamilton Reefstar(2)250watthqi(mh)pend.a Yellow, Naso Tang Red Lip Blenny Percula Clown Demoiselles Niger Trigger F.
