| Re: DEATH TANK!!! GSM are a trip. If you get them via a farm, they're stripe doesn't change till they're quite large, but from the wild, I've seen really small ones with fully deveoped stripes. I really like Maroons, out all the clowns, they have one of the neatest body shapes. Gotta love those fins. Black Sebea's are really cool as well.
AS far as anemones are concerned, the ones you have reeferman_mc, are probably the most sustainable harvestable ones, the most suitable one for aquarists (IMO) and one of the easyist ones to propigate. The ones that aren't to kosher to harvest, are the large solitary ones, like Ritteri's and carpets. BTA's are a colonial anemone that can live in aggraigations of hundreads.

| Re: DEATH TANK!!! I hate that it turned into an agument, no hard feelings Gresham, and is now marked as a hot topic. That's cool that your Maroon hangs in your palythoa. I had a perc when I first started who killed a toadstool and a colt. The perc was eaten by a mushroom. What colors are your palythoa? I've been digging for PPE(purple people eaters). The last ones I found on ebay finally sold for $861 and there were only 4 polyps. _________ &&Right now I'm in the middle of a conversion from reef to Discus/ planted aquarium. Hair algae beat me down. Maybe a nano in the future. Everything screwed up so I'm converting to FOWLR. Wish me luck. |

| Re: DEATH TANK!!! "heated discussion", no hard feelings here. I can really get on a high horse sometimes, the enviromental/responsialbe reef keeping gig is a major reason why I post, so like I said, I can get kinda caught up in it and fail to see others points of view. Thats why its so good to have JohnO around, I think.
Where are you located reefmam_MC? We've got tons of zo frags running around are area, I've got tons myself. |

| Re: DEATH TANK!!! www.thesea.org is the one who coined the name PPE, you'll spend way less buying from him, then EBAY. Have you given a gander at his site? |

| Re: DEATH TANK!!! I checked out both those sites you told me about. Haven't had extensive time to look through the whole list of polyps at frags.org yet, but will soon. I looked at thesea.org and it sent me to farmsofthesea.com or .org don't remember. The site wouldn't let me register and therfore I couldn't check out the corals. I'm located towards Hemingway, SC(50 miles from Myrtle Beach). How would True PPE's do under 2x250 watt 10K MH and 2x54 watt T-5 actinics? |

| Re: DEATH TANK!!! They'd grow outa controll
Yah, Blane has many URL's that all forward to that site. I have to poke around to find the pictures using the buttons on the right. I'll keep my ears open, www.exoticreefs.us (?) might have some as well. Many of the frags.org members have they're own site as well, so when you find a nice frag, check the members profile. |

| Re: DEATH TANK!!! Cool, I'll gladly take some from you. Do you want anything for them? The only corals I could hook you up with frags of are pulsing xenia and cabbage leather as of now or I could pay you a little something unless you just want to give them to me. What is a kordon bag? Is it just like a regular bag. I'll PM you next time I'm online. Got to head out right now. Thanks |
