| Damsels are evil I have had this velvet damsel ever since I started my 29 in feb. It just like to harass everything in the tank. My snowflake is just poking its head out of the his hole just chilling, then the damsel comes over and kinda backs into him pushing him back into his hole. This was happening for month or two then I saw this happening and the eel had enough and but a corner of his tail held on but the damsel got away. Lol he never did that again. Now he does that to my lawnmower. Last night I gess he had enough. Its the weirdest thing to see a lawnmower chasing a damsel across the tank biting him. That might be mean I call it justice. _________ Senior Noob Setting my 75 back up soon Main SW Tank:

| It's funny, I don't care for damsels, but I love clownfish, which are close family members. I don't agree with the method of using damsels to cycle a tank either, but I understand why some do it.
It's cool Urban that you have some inhabitants that stick up for themselves! lol |

| What a coincidence. I just tore down my reef to rid of a Jewel Damsel that was harassing my tank inhabitants including my coral. When my rainbow acan stop coming out, I knew the damsel was the cause. I confirmed it when I saw him biting it's tentacles.
I'll post a thread once I finish re-scaping.

| I also have the velvet / devil damsel. I found the only fish that can keep it in check are my flame angel and my lemon peel angel. Funny thing is the dwarf angels are not supposed to get along but they team up to keep the Velvet damsel in line. The velvet damsel gets pretty big also.

| I did the same 2 weeks ago in the 75. I basically had to tear the entire tank apart to take him out and put him in the 46. It was a great 2 hr project :-) |

| He will be coming out of the tank to go in my 29 expermental. Which is a tank that all my diy rock will be going in for 2-3 months before I put them in my tank. My remorma will be going on it. I will also be taking a wet/dry out of a small hot filter and my biowheel 350 that I have on my baby koi tank. |
