| It will eat mysis shrimp (and every single feather duster/fan worm you have in your tank). It might also eat your clams and corals if the fish isn't collected from Australia |

| Gratz I like those fish. I was looking into keeping them myself,so here is a pice from a care sheet i found. Quote: |
The Copperbanded Butterfly Fish is one of the more difficult marine fish to keep in the home aquarium and is definitely not recommended for a saltwater beginner. Only introduce one to a long established tank (6 months or more) with peaceful tank mates. If you have a new tank and it is still going through the aquarium nitrogen cycle, you can kiss this baby good bye. Copperband Butterfly Fish are very delicate and it can be very difficult to get them eating. You may need to experiment with various live foods, including brine and mysis shrimp. Some hobbyists have reported success using fresh clams on the half shell placed in the bottom of the tank to get them to start eating.

  | It is a butterfly
FWIW, collection has nothing to do with tendencies to nip at corals. An aussie C.rostratus is just as likely to nip as any other...They do have a deeper orage color though
Feed it a mixed diet, mysis and brine soaked in selcon will do the trick. They will wipe out your feather dusters and likely pick at meaty corals.
Not to preach, but it looks like your have a newer tank and fairly small volume. This can be very finicky fish. Get it eating prepared foods ASAP. Let us know if you have any problems and good luck |
