From what I have learned... it's all in the eyes. An Occellaris clowns black part of the eye (or pupil) is bigger and just outside the pupil the color is darker usually than the color on the forehead area of the fish. On the A. Percula, the color just outside the pupil is usually brighter and matches the color on the fishes forehead area almost perfectly. Also on the A. Percula I have noticed that the pupil area of the eye is much smaller. I will post some pics to show the difference. Pics coming up in about 15 minutes
A. Percula - Notice the eye area

another A. percula

Anyone, support or debunk these theories? I was actually told about this by a clown breeder in Seattle.... Thanks Inwall for that connection!

Now- Here's the A. Occellaris

I've had my salt water aquarium for about a month and a half now, stocked with a P. Clown, a Clown Goby (Citron), and 10 red legged hermits... Today I brought home a second P. Clown (larger than the original clown, like I said, I wish I had seen this thread), a Lubbock's Wrasse, and a Green Chromis...

The original, and smaller Clown is doing the seizure-like dominant movement, and of course the larger, newer clown is completely ignoring him... This will be the first night... How long can I expect this to go on before the smaller one gives up, dies of stress, or the larger submits? Also, which is more likely? (I think I already know the answer to this one...)

Thanks folks.
Greetings fostah...
