| Re: Clown (Maroon) - followup... Yeah, I love my mated maroons. I got them from a guy who had to break down his tank, but he got them as two males, and after alot of reading on them, it is neat to find that in large groups or even coupling of males, one will turn into a female, she gets nice and big, and dark, he will get smaller sometimes, its awesome mine love their carpet and long tenicle anoemes _________

| Re: Clown (Maroon) - followup... Yes, they really are "awesome"
My "female" much larger then male now.
Don't have an anenome yet. Am waiting till larger tank setup. Have a BTA on my "want list" .
The "male" has taken up "residence" in a powerhead - at least that is where he always stays unless darting out and about during feeding time.
His best friend, besides the female, is my cleaner shrimp, who also generally resides on that particular powerhead also. (I think the real secret is that I always tend to feed in that corner of the tank - is fun to see all the tank residents rush to that corner whenever I walk in room - and any "extra" food always gets pulled into powersweep prefilter for "easy pickings".)
Will get anenome settled into new tank setup before introducing clowns...hopefully they will take to it.
Rgds,
Omard |
