| Clown fish compatibility help! Hey everyone!
Something happened in my reef tank at work over the weekend. Yesterday, all the hitchhiker anemones and my mushroom were kinda shriveled and unhappy. Today my cleaner shrimp is dead and the clown fish is breathing very quickly.
I want to take him home ASAP so I can figure out whats wrong. I have another clown at home, and I just wanted to quickly find out if they'll do ok together. I believe the one here is a Perc, and the one at home is a false Perc. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thank you! _________ Setup:26 gal. bowfront (started 8/05) 130W PC. Fluval 304. 80 lbs. live rock. | The odds are about 99% certain you are going to have a war on your hands. Even mixing two clownfish of the same species is taking a big chance unless you introduce them together as juveniles...
What is problem with tank at work? --- do some major water changes quick...cure for most ills. _________ AG "125," AquaC EV 180, 30 gal sump, "SCWD", 80 lbs LR, CoralSeaLife "Moonlite" Hood, PFO 250W HQI Mini-Pendant (SPS HQI 14000k bulb)

| Ok, good to know...
I just wanted to get him outta there and safe and then deal with it. The LFS I get saltwater from is closed Tues/Wed. I'll see about getting some mixed up. Cheers! |

| You could always get a divider/fish caddy and place it in your tank at home. This way you can place your two clowns in the tank with no ill effect of aggression!
You have to determine what is wrong with your tank at work however! _________ 125gal.w/Mag9.5 return(dual megaflow)>Mag7 pump Aqua Cev180skimmer.Wave2k Hamilton Reefstar(2)250watthqi(mh)pend.a Yellow, Naso Tang Red Lip Blenny Percula Clown Demoiselles Niger Trigger F. | Heavy breathing sounds like an ammonia or nitrite spike. I would test these first to eliminate that problem. If it is a water change won't work for that problem. Water changes remove nitrates not nitrites or ammonia. Did something die in the tank? _________ 20g
