Default Clown Breeding

Just another dumb question. Is it at all possible to breed a black and white false perc with an orange and white false perc? I of course realize they must be related in some manner since the only difference seems to be their colors, though I'm sure there is more to that. Has anyone got them both in the same tank and seen any action?

I am not sure about breeding them, but I was told by a breeder not to mix the black/ white and the orange/white in the same tank because they will be aggressive with one another, I wouldnt risk having htem together if I were you!

Oh I have no intention of mixing them this is purely theoretical. But if someone were to put them in together when they were babies at the same time and they grew up together I would assume they might actually get along. But would they get along enough to get a mix of a black ad orange as offspring?

Agreed fish are strange, I'll try to bump this thread from time to time to see if anyone has actually put these guys in a tank together successfully.

I also found this on peteducation.com

"The Black and White Ocellaris Clownfish is a good candidate for a reef aquarium. If introduced to the aquarium at the same time, many varieties of clowns can be maintained together in the aquarium."

I have a white/black and a white/orange false perc pair who get on quite well, and have for many months. They hang together and never seem aggressive toward each other. Im not a breeder so I couldn't confirm it however there should be no problems breeding the two, i guess you could relate it to breeding a chocolate brown golden retriever with a yellow golden retriever
