Default Cleaner wrasse

Derar fish friends,
Question? Do cleaner wrasses eat ich? I was told I needed one for the constant ich in my tank.

In the wild this is part of their job and they should be left there to do it. Cleaner wrasses have a poor survival rate in captivity and are best left to perform their duty in the ocean. If you really want a fish that is a cleaner look at getting a neon goby instead. Things like neon gobies and cleaner shrimps can help but honestly will not solve your problem.

John, i was at the mercy of over 2 mos. of fish illnesses. I was not aware of the benefit it supplies in the wild until after it died. The fish store told me to get it and that it is a very easy fish to care for. Believe me, I feel bad. I surely did not start the hobby six months ago to kill fish. I am educated enough to know (NOW) that forums like this exist and I will definately seek advice from here/reading rather than the fish store.

No worries, even the most educated hobbyist out there was still was a novice at one time and made many of the same mistakes new hobbyists now make. All you can do is try to educate yourself and those you know in the hobby to try to limit new one. Maybe you could go educate your local store too *[smiley=hehe.gif] [smiley=scholar.gif]
