Question Butterfly RIP

I bought a butterfly fish hoping that it would be a good addition to the tank, but the yellow eyed tang and the foxface were not very nice to it. He passed away last night. After a week of periodicallly being chased around the tank It think it just stressed it out. I have a 110 gallon tank that is 6 feet long. I assumed there was enough room. "CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG"
Any suggestions for a fish that would hold his own aginst these two. No problems with the clowns, chromises or Goby.

I bought a threadfin butterfly and my yellow tang was actually able to hook him with his tail barb -- right in the side. After about 5 days of costant abuse the tang let him be --- in a 72 gallon bowfront.
Now that the fish were all healthy and got along I got an ich infection Christmas day and lost my threadfin two days ago -- lost a clown last night and the coral beauty looks next if he doesn't recover. The only one that looks completely recovered is my tang.

Anyways -- the big problem I found with the threadfin is his color matched the yellow tang pretty close as the tang didn't care about other fish introduced which probably resulted in a territorial battle.

The thing is that alot of times it doesn't matter what type of fish you add to your mix, but when you add them. Once a fish gets acclimated and settles in to basically call the tank "his/her domain", you have the potential for agressiveness.
The next time you try adding livestock, try doing so at night after the lights in your tank have been off for a while...this will present less stress for the new addition(s) as well as decreased likelihood of aggression displayed by your residents in the tank.
The other thing that may work is feeding your fish while adding the new fish to the tank to keep them busy while you are performing the transition.
These are just some tricks that may work for you...of course nothing is written in stone>
