The angel is comming out alot now, and look alot darker. Plus it is eating like a pig again. I have some new food comming in this week, so mybe it will also help. On another thread, there are some of us asking how to sup garlic?? Do you use store garlic, or a special fish garlic?? I mite order some Rid-Ick+ and see what that does. I can keep the cleaner shrimp in the tank with that stuff.
I am dealing with ich as well right now. I read an article about using garlic to treat ich. But none of the LFS here had it other then formula 2 food with garlic added. F&S sells garlic xtreme, but I didnt wanna wait on ordering it. So I came up with the idea of buying concentrated garlic extract. I dosed 1 tsp per 25g of water. Which is similar to other methods I read about it. Its a lot simpliar then hyposalinity. I talked to a marine biologist buddy of mine, he said to do the hyposalinity method and drop the salinity down to 1.015 raise the temp up slowly to like 82-83 degrees to speed up the germination period of the parasite cysts. The quicker they go thu the protozoan stage, the quicker you tank gets over it. That is not what I did. I did the garlic dosing, and feeding formula 2 with garlic added and all of the fish have no visible ich anymore. But I am going to continue dosing for another week or so, just to be safe.

Here is a link about hyposalinity/garlic and other treatments for ich.

However, I have a QT setup just in case, lol.

oh and I picked up the garlic extract at the grocery store for like $2, much cheaper then treatments, lol and I kept my filters running the whole time. My fish room smells like garlic, but other then that, its all good, lol.
