| Anyone with Mulitpule Naso Tangs in one tank????? I currently have a Blonde Naso Tang (Naso elegans) and want to put a regular Naso Tang (Naso lituratus) in there also but I am afraid they will not get along.
The one I have my eye on is bigger then my current Blonde Naso so I was hoping that he wouldn't get picked on. My current Naso has so much character and I don't want to mess up his comfort if at all possible.
Any help would be greatly appricated. _________ Scott 265g (Peninsula)

| Hey Otty, I dont have the same senerio(fish) but I do have a yellow and a kole tang. What I did was float the bag and acclimate it, of course. I let the kole tang out of the bag at night when the lights where off. The next morning the yellow tang was like nothing new was introduced. It worked for me. Hope this helped, Luna _________ 9YR OLD 90G 30G w/d Mag18 150G skimmer 692w MH,yel&kole tang, foxface, midas&convict blenny,B&G chromies,Blk/yel fin chromie blackcap, nemo, neon goby,6line; Blastomussa Merleti,Acan ,BUBBLE,Torch,LTA, Goniopora(2), Acropora(2),Brain, Moon, assort zoas, yel& G star polyps, R&G open brain, P&B ricordia, montiporas, cup&candy corals, enias,B/G mush, flower ane(2), cherry red mussa, dusters, cleaning crew |

| Otty, Don't do it, as you run a major risk of aggression and territoriality plus the chemistry and behavior of your Blonde Naso is definitely tested if not altered for ever!
I just wouldn't risk it, especially since things are fine thus far!
Just my opinion however! _________ 125gal.w/Mag9.5 return(dual megaflow)>Mag7 pump Aqua Cev180skimmer.Wave2k Hamilton Reefstar(2)250watthqi(mh)pend.a Yellow, Naso Tang Red Lip Blenny Percula Clown Demoiselles Niger Trigger F. | Well I have a Powder Blue Tang in the tank for a while then came across a Powder Brown Tang so I picked him up. Well there was hell in the tank for about 5 days and the little Powder Brown just stayed hidden all the time. He was the smaller of the two so I was hoping since the new Naso I want is bigger then my Blonde and he would be left alone.
Just like having tangs because they graze like cattle on the rocks. Nice to have fish earn their keep |

| Hey Scott, it can be done in a tank as large as yours. Just keep in mind that if you do pick up the larger (new) tang, keep a very close eye on the fish for aggression. Keep them all well fed and they may work things out. As always, your mileage may vary |

| I was always told that the amount of tangs one could keep was determined by water volume and similarity to other tangs (How similar they appear), i only have one tang and its the yellow noobish kind, so im of no help |

| Off the top I would tend to agree with CR. Then again you have a very big tank so it just might work.
There's really no way of knowing until it's done.
Good luck if you decide to go for it. Let us know how things are working out. |

| In my experience and from all the articles written by professionals like Michael and Fenner, the addition of a new member of the same kind is to be hindered unless added as juvenilles and at the same time. Many times if this isn't employed, aggression and territoriality exists. Of course their are exceptions to this rule, but the odds are stacked against you and the fish! |
