Default alge help?need a fish to fight

i need some advice.
i'm looking for a fish i can add to my 96gal FOWLR tank, that will eat alge. i have a lot of hair alge growth, and cannot add any crustaceans, do to the fact that i have a luna wrasse.
the other fish in the tank are, a niger trigger, voltains lion, and fu man chu lion.
i know tangs are alge grazers, but i would kinda like to stay away from them for fear of ich.

Depriving the F/O tank of algae food will also kill the algae off. Adding another fish will only add more PO4 and NO3's you ever test those levels and try to keep them in check ? Most with F/O never do.. And that's why most all have the dark green carpet covering their expensive L/R's .

will check those, thanks. i really do not want another fish, but am concerned about this situation. it's really only on the top rocks, the ones exposed to the light more. i just don't want to let it get out of hand. it looks like long flowing greyish hair, with some red. not much green.
i'm thinking about putting some large snails in. if the wrasse gets them, so be it.

FOWLR? Ok cut back on lighting some, toss in some turbo's and say a prayer, the only fish i know that eat that stuff are tangs, and blenny's but you're lion fish would eat the blenny and a tang would get slaughtered by the trigger most likely

Oh I know exactly what you have on the rocks I have seen it a million times on as many thanks . Most people with a F/O tank tend to forget the fish they keep are as a rule all reef fish and they tend to let the water quality slide and do little to maintain top quality reef water or even us good quality R/O water most just us tapwater ): . And light bulbs many always run bulbs far to cool of K values Like sun type bulbs . Get the proper bulbs and lower the NO3 and PO4 and the F/O guys tend to just under filter a system or even run a sump for a good skimmer thats a must with F/O tanks a hell of a skimmer. Oh and no snail will stand a snowballs chance in hell in that tank don't wsate you money , Use the money to get some ferric oxide and a reactor for it..

Well you get the NO3 and PO4's under control and bump the Ca and Carbonats up to reef standards the algae will start to fade maybe change the bulbs K values ..
