Default adding fish timing

as i've discussed in other threads, i just kicked off my 96gal,FOWLR, tank.
i have 3 fish waiting to be added. they are
1-voltans lion
1-fu man chu lion
1- lunar wrasse

at the recomendation of my LFS, i added the niger trigger, last night, as my first fish. the reason being, he is said to be a very hardy fish, and would fare better, if conditions are less then perfect.
my water parameters are all good.

my only concern is with the trigger, and others, becoming territorial. i was told to ad a fish a week. i'm worried that in a week, the trigger will become territorial, and bother each fish as it's added.
the trigger is not that big. only about 3". i plan to add the lunar wrasse, next, followed by the fu man chu, and voltans.
any advice?

I seldom say this and It may be a first for me ?? But you are only going to have a 100 gallon tank with 2 Lions and a Trigger and a Luna Wrasse ?
The fu man chu lion is not a friendly fish nor is the Lunar wrasse . And then toss the Voltain into the mix I hope you have a hell of a filtration system ? and set back and watch them grow.. That Lunar will hit 8 inches easily I have had a few and they all got very large fast. And I'd call it a tank full of off pissed off junkyard pitbulls .. Good luck with that..

i understand what your saying, but i have done much research on this.
both lions are ok together. the fu man chu only gets to a max of 8", and mostly hides in the rock. the voltans is going to get to a max of 15", which i realize is very large, but my research says the tank is large enough. the niger trigger, was said to be the best one to keep with the lions, as it is less apt to nip at it's fins. the lunar, i admit, may have been a bad choice, but you live and learn.
i do have a very good filtration system, and am using a 20gal refugium, along with phosband reactor, protein skimmer, a uv steralizer, and nitrate reducer, which my LFS, has been testing over the course of 6 mos.ZERO nitrates consistantly!

i don't believe this is too many fish for this size tank. i don't understand why i'm catching so much flack over this tank. i always keep on top of my tanks. i never let things go, not even for a day! i did not enter into this 96gal, project without research. all these fish were said to be compatible, and a good amount for that size set up.
the lunar wrasse was said to be a good fit, also. my only regret with that, is the lack of a cleaner crew.
is there any type of maintainance crew i can have? i'm sure i know the answer, already.
also, i want to add, that i have the lions eating frozen krill. i will not be feeding them live food, which will cut down on the amount of ammonia waste.

also, i've read where some of you recommend 1.5 gal of water per 1", of fish.
if that calculation is true, a 58.5 gallon tank would be fine, for each fishes maximum size.
if you were refering to compatibility being a problem, as i stated above, all research states they are all compatible. check for yourself.

yes, i've heard this also, but you must understand, this is not a new set up. it was a tear down, and move. all the same water, rock, bio sponge, and such was saved, and re-used. all perameters check out. there is no cycling going on. this tank is established, with coraline alge growth on rocks, and all.

you can research all you want, but that's just gonna give you guidelines and generalizations. i can guarantee you, when you get set up, there's gonna be some things happening that wasn't in your research. I say give it a try, like you said "live and learn" hope it works out for you. how bout some pics

your right, but at least i did do research. just wish i got a little more supportive advice, as opposed to being written off as a failure waiting to happen.
i will post some pics, but wanted to get the fish in first. makes for a more exciting photo.
thanks for your advice.

i am definatly not one of those,"gotta have it, i don't care", people. if i was, i would have had a box, and cow fish, a long time ago.
i love this hobby, and treat my livestock like family. i would never let anything suffer.
