| What kind of Red Sea Star do you have? May be a problem with the Jawfish being eaten. Some stars are piscivores and omnivorous to boot!
It could have found another place to hide?
Or died and is or has been eaten by your benthic area residents!

| any star that gets big enough can and will eat fish.they hide in the top of caves and drop down on fish.jawfish like holes in rocks.it would'nt be hard to trap it in there.i'm really sorry if it got eaten.

| Jawfish are notorious jumpers and aren't really suited to reef tanks (they are not "reef fish" in that they prefer open sandy areas near the reef as opposed to on/in the reef). Have you checked behind your tank for a dried up fish? |
