not sure.... but you might know this, isn't ferrous oxide the same thing as rust?

No, granular ferric oxide is not the same as rust. It's a water treatment chemical originally developed for arsenic removal in drinking water. It also for us reefkeepers does a great job removing phosphate.

RowaPhos, Phosban, and many others are GFO. Pay for the name or get it for only $19.95 a lb from TB Aquatics. That will last a year or more for most people.

ok I looked it up....lots of uses for it! I use PhosBan all the time. The next time I'm in the market I will remember this thread! Thanks!!
