i have seen some par reading on tanks where t5s were still strong to 25 inchs, i havent seen any readings beyond that for t5. but i have to tell you if your to have a hope of pulling off lps on the floor you need ultra high quality equipment. the safe setup would be two 250 halides, even then i would recommend very high quality. |

No. I don't want a canopy. And probably won't have much on the floor. But better safe than sorry.

I think its 18 in width. I don't have alo of floor space with my rock so almosr all my corals will be up on the rocks.

I was thinking origanally 6 but thought id play it smart and get the 8 I had halides in my last tank and was battling temp issues since I didn't own a chiller.

| Giant Squid | 8 t5 will put out a good bit of heat too scenario is having to buy a chiller even though he went with 6 t5s he has a 90
