Does anybody know if leather coral likes colder water. The reason I ask is I have two leather coral frags in my tank and they were doing real well for awhile and then they just closed up. As an expierment I lowered the temp in my tank over about the course of a week and a half to 75 degrees and the coral opened right up. I just don't know if this normal behavior or not. I didn't like keeping the temp that low so I brought it back up to 78.5 and they closed up again. Any info appreciated.

well...many corals do good in waters of 72-78...most fish like it 75-79 so maybe try it at 76-77 that woul probably be fine :) i usually keep mine at about 76-78
