You guys sound like you have a lot of zoas so I have a question lol. I have (i think straberry wine zoas) they are darkblue/purple with bright pink florescent spots and alternating green and brown feeler things? (I apologize for the amateur description lol) The were up high in the tank and stopped moving them so I moved them lower about a week ago. They are open again but their feelers are not as nice or big as they used to be hong long until they grow back to normal? and does anyone know what par they should be at? Guy at store said the prettier ones need more light than others,, is that true?

IME zoanthids grow better mid-and low...mine really grow anywhere, but they really take off mid level...i have some that barely get light and are brighter than a lot of the ones I see in full light! lol In the right water, u can really get a new head or 2 in a week...but then again, some are slower growers than others...

They were at a par of around 200 lol. They were fine there for a while but then started to sort of shrivel and not open up (i have 150 watt mh on a 34 gal tank so maybe they were just too high.
