| Okay I finally received my stand and canopy. My tank is still about a week and a half out. But at least now I can start to do the prefabrication work I need to get done. I just ordered a Compact 75 GPD Reefkeeper RODI, a Lunar Aqualights Compact Fluorescent Strip Lights 36", a water pump for my reserve tank and a few other extras. here are some pictures of the location I am placing the aquarium. As you can see i still have some work to do. |

| I picked up 61 pounds of uncured Fiji and Tonga branch rock today. I purchased it for $40.00 from a lady on Craig's list. I cleaned it up an put it in a curing vat tonight. I hope it will come out okay since this is my first attempt at curing rock. |

| Nice tank set up you have going. I would nuke the rock if it was me especially buying off someone you don't know. They usually get rid of the rock when they shut a tank down because of problems they had. That may be your problems now. Lets hope not. _________ Scott 265g (Peninsula)

| RODI installed I recieved my new Air Water and Ice (AWI) RODI system last week and just ran all the lines yesterday. Putting it together was easy. I put a supply line in through the wall. I then put the drain line out the wall to the outside through a 1/2" PVC pipe. The pipe goes into a DIY Leach bed. I did this by digging a hole and placing a sprinkler valve box in the hole. I then filled the box with rocks. The drain line was then ran into the box. The supply line of pure water runs to a 5 gallon top of water bucket which is controlled by an AWI float valve. The water is then pumped to the tank by a Maxi - Jet 1100 pump. The tank level is controlled by a JBJ auto top off controller. I also put a T conection on the pure water line so that i could fill up the bucket used to mix saltwater during water changes. I have not ran the system yet because my tank has still not showed up .
Here is a picture of the RODI mounted to the wall. I will have to take it down this weekend so I can paint the wall. |

nice bathroom by the way | Thanks. My wife is laughing at me everyday because I am naturally a person who wants to get everything done right now. This hobby has given me patients and I can just see it in her eyes that she thinks I'm going to explode any day.
I will update when I get my tank. |
