| Tank Upgrade Pics! OK So I finally got around to taking some new pics. Here they are:
Full tank view, MAN those halides are bright!
Closeup of the left side
Closeup of the right side
Here's how I mounted the fixture from my old tank. It's made for a 3ft long tank but I figured they will still suffice for the bigger tank. Higher light corals will be placed in the center and towards the top, while lower light corals will have the outer edges.
And then just some inhabitants
This Ridge Leather normally looks a lot better but is still getting used to the new lights (I had my old PCs on for about a month while I replaced my MH bulbs)
The only fish survivor - Mr Clown
Frags
I watched this blue crab go after this red crab twice. I don't know what they were doing, the blue one was like CLIMBING into the red one's shell! It looked like it was attacking it. I just let them do whatever it was, never seen that before but all right...
Here's my DIY sump, the Refugium is right behind the support bar of course
And a bad pic of the Fuge, you've seen one, you've seen 'em all _________ 125 Gal Reef. | No I don't plan on replacing the light.
Yes I'll be getting some new fish soon once I make sure I didn't trigger a new cycle. I don't think I did but I just wanna be sure. Maybe next weekend :-) |

| Nice tank!
Yeah, don't get rid of the halides!
You may want to lower your leather though as they don't need as much light! It may be stressed out due to the intensity of your lights! Just a suggestion!

| Thanks everyone! I'm happy with the upgrade. Coral Reefer I think you may be right, I know leathers don't need halide light, especially not that close, so yea it's gonna move down and over today.
Yea baxter mine is AG as well with a built in overflow on the left side. I LOVE the built in overflow! No more adjustments, no more worrying about a power outage, no more worrying about losing the siphon, no more turning back the mag drive via a ball valve, it's bombdiggity!
Luna I upgraded from a 46 bowfront to a 72 bowfront.
Cheers! |
