| Bikers are a dying breed | Nice tank but I hate to be another one to say it but you are going to have problem with all the micro algae in that tank. It will take over! Bunch of tangs might be able to keep it knocked back but you are not going to get any more tangs in there with a Sohal, should of put him in last. I never put in LR from anywhere because I never know what is hidden in it. I nuke all rock before I start a tank. Hope you well with you endeavors on this tank. I may be wrong and it all dispersal...heck my wife tells me I'm wrong all the time. _________ Scott 265g (Peninsula) 3x400w MH's, 4x95w Actinics, AAT Lunar Lights, OM 4-way CL, PM Bullet 3 Skimmer, DelZone Eclipse 1, 57w Aqua UV, WavySea Plus for return, AAT Kalk Reactor, KNOP Ca Reactor w/PM Second Chamber, TradeWinds Chiller, ACIII Pro Controller, Oceanus ATO, PM PO4 Reactor, 75g Sump, 30g Fuge ![]() Born March 5, 2007 Parameters My 265 Gal. | Spaghetti Worm | Yeah, I was just telling my wife tonight as I was pruning that I will probably end up just starting over and nuking the rock. She just shook her head. ![]() The Sohal is going back to LFS, btw. It was one of those, OMG he's beautiful moments. I thought I had learned better (I do know better, just didn't practice it that day.) |

| Spaghetti Worm | No, I got all 200lbs of that rock for 2.99/lb. A bargain if you ask me. Dale at gulf-view.com cut me a good deal. And don't get me wrong. All of the macros are fascinating and some are quite beautiful (there are some really nice red ones growing). Not to mention all of the other life that's on the rock (the reason why nuking it is something I'd really have to have a worse reason than macroalgae to go ahead with.) I knew that Sea Hare's are sometimes used to eat hair algae. I just read that they will also eat many types of macros, so I may give one a try. Heck, my tank might actually be able to sustain one! |
