Well the addiction has came back, and I have decided to start a thread on my new reef tank build. I had a Nano Cube couple years ago and missed it ever since the day i got rid of it. Now I am finished with college and things have settled down at the Fire Dept. and I will have more time to spend on it and money lol. The build will hopefully start this coming Wen Feb 15, when my tank and cycling supplies will be here so i thought i would start the thread tonight. I will document and post pictures throughout, and plan on doing Sps, few lps, and some zoas and ricordia corals. With a stocking list not yet decided on, the equipment bought or to be bought coming up I will list. Any questions feel free to ask and I will have many throughout, I hope everyone enjoys. Thanks Ryan

Here is a few pictures of my mock up aquascape used a cut out piece of cardboard with the dimensions measured including rough sketch of overflow size taken into account. Love feedback and which one people like most having a tough time deciding on right island whether i want more open with just one rock , or couple. Feedback plz.
    Thank Ryan

I like the rock work design.

Looks like you have a well thought out plan. List of items looks great.

I am partial to the GFO myself. I buy the granulated GFO and use about 1/2 of what BRS recommends. Are you going to put the Purigen in a filter?

    Welcome back to the addiction.

Purigen is most effective when the water can not bypass the filter bag. A reactor is the best way to go.

Alright looks like I will be looking at maybe a dual reactor for carbon and purigen at low flow and GFO in a separate reactor for its on flow
