Yes thats them OTTY they are a brand new bulb and used by all the top public aquariums like the new one in Atlanta. I am told they are a small Co that has been over whelmed with orders from the aquariums and are trying to increase their capacity to make them in larger numbers. I can see why as in all the yrs I have been using M/H and lamps in General these have shown me more in less time then any other buld or lighting period. I think they will put all the rest to shame soon.

I can put you in touch with a source for them if you want ? I tell you they Kick A$$ I just gave the X-M's away LOL

Hey Tangster, got the plumbing almost done. Does this look like what you was discribing???
ottys-265-w-3-sided-view-om-valve-work.jpg

I had to stagger the pumps because I wanted to keep the closed loop pumps under the tank. Got most of the Flex PVC ran since the picture (man that stuff is sweet). I am shooting for Saturday or Sunday for a tap water test run of the pumps if nothing drastic happens.

Not really I was thinking more about a manifold type system and several valves off of that for the tow returns that would come up from the rear of the overflow box that would not be ran through the O/M and the O/M really does not need to be valved in that when it senescences it will open tow alternating heads at the same time like valve and distributer timing on a 4 cylinder motor ..The manifold would have been used to run the skimmer and secondary tank return and over to a PO4 or Carbon reactor type deal a chiller if need be. Might want to eliminate the valves on the O/M they will restrict the flow rates the power head drive motor controls the opening of the ports And if the head burns out its no need to remove the valve body to repair . Just replace the magnetic head drive motor. What you have will work but money wasted in that th valves are not needed. Those tow pumps will run that whole tank hell I measured them yesterday just one moved 150 gallons through a 1inch line up 10 ft and took 2 mins and 40 seconds to pump 150 gallons. The internal recirculating sustem can be ran from them also off of the manifold as a by pass deal . If you need I can draw it out and fax it to you ? Sorry to be late in replying I just saw this right now ): Hope its not glued up yet ????? OPPs you also want the Ck valves to set verticaly to ensure better operation if and when needed then at best they may just slow the flow enough for the second pump to keep some water moving if one should fail.

I will have the sump/fuge, calcium reactor...etc all run on a seperate pump and return line. I have a 1800gph pump to run the UV filter, sump, calicum reactor..etc so that will be seperate return with some Lock-line beside the OF box. Those two little giants are just to move water in the closed loop system. I put the valves there in case I ever need to do any work on the system I need to shut the water off somehow, never know what will get clogged up. The check valves needed to be put horizontal because of space restriction, I wanted the unions right at the pump manifold. And to answer your question, it's about 40% glued so it will have to do.

Well you will have plenty of water moving inthere LOL The valves are fine I myself would have just ran it all off of them 2 low amp pumps but what you re doing is fine One of those pumps would fill the tank from a tub in about 3 or 4 mins with 10 ft of head very very high volume units. Cant wait to see it run for the test ride LOL Looks good . The Checks will be fine its just when they are in the horizantal position they will be a collection of calcium and sedimient and sand always on the bottom of the pipeing seat where when vertical its just less but they never really work 100% after a few weeks or months they all collect junk on the seats or gates. Nature of the saltwater beast.

Default Plumbing is done

Well the plumbing is done and ready for a test run with tap water in the morning. I would do it tonight if the kids were not already in bed, Mommy would kill me if I woke them. I will start adding water first thing in the morning. The only thing I didn't get done was some baffles in the sump between the skimmer and the return pump. Plus the skimmer is in the garage in a 30 gal trash can with all the nuked LR in it running trying to get a jump on cycling. Wish me luck on a good run, hope I don't have to make very many changes. If I do I'll just blame it on Tangster.....
