Default 75 gal sump up and running

Well I finally found a 75 gal tank to make a sump out of and got it running tonight. I am going to take the 30 tall I had for a sump and make a refugium out of. I will get it drilled tomorrow night. I put an extra hole in the 75 to run my pump for the skimmer to keep motors out of the water, every bit of heat I can save will be very valuable. Should be able to hit the actinics this weekend and start running them 12 hours a day to get coralline going. Finally coming together..... Then the MH's are next....

Holy crap, where have I been? I've been battling cyano and you've been going nuts.
Nice, clean install. "Sano" I would say. Looks just incredible.
Be proud, it's one hell of a nice tank you built.
Took me two hours to catch up, I'm going to bed now. lol
Keep the pics coming and congrats.
Jim

That's an extraordinary setup, any more updates? I'd love to put together a giant aquarium, but it's hard to swing it being a starving college student and all.

Default Update 4-25-06

Now heading into the 9th week of my cycle. I have taken down the 55 gal and moved everything over to the 265 except for two pieces of LR that I will put in the fuge because I didn't want it to look cluttered. I may still take out about two or three more pieces and put them in the sump for some more room. Ca reactor is up and keep everything at about 405 ppm at the moment since there is not a lot of corals in there. Actinics are running 16 hr a day to seed coralline and the MH's are running for 4 hours in the middle. Here are some pics I took but I need to work on the camera setting because it's too bright for the automatic setting on my camera.

With Actinics on

The top three pics are taken with all the lights on and I was trying to mess with the camera setting to dim it down a bit and I still need to work on it. The last one is just the actinics...they about hurt your eyes they are so bright... Thanks for the hookup there Tangster!!!
