Cool my current 24gal new tank

well a trip to the lfs sure got expensive... ive only had the tank set up for about 3 weeks and the start last week i noticed algae growth so i decided to take a water sample in to get tested and i was just gonna get a clean up crew but the water came back perfect no nitrites no nitrates ph was at 8.4 so i decided to get a pair of clownfish and a anemone! i think the tank cycled quickly cause i used live rock from a well established tank and 50% of the water from the same tank... but ya ill try to get some pics posted tonight yet no guaratees of there quality though my camera is old and sucks lol

You will go through a number of algae cycles during first months of tank setup.

Not to worry. Just keep eye on water params and feed minimum amounts.

Your cleanup crew should pretty much manage it.

Good Luck.

I love my flame scallop! My clownfish hasn't hosted in my anemone Anyways, 3 weeks is pretty early for a anemone... But if water params permit, anemone away! Hope you have more success with the clowns and anemone than I.
Evan.

Yo Andy...if you're having algae problems, try Phosguard, it got rid of mine in 3 days lol!! I was having problem with some stinky algae (not slime), I placed some phosguard in my filter, 3 days later...no algae was visible, my water is clear, the equipment is clean....awesome stuff. Again, thanks to the fellow reefers on these forums....
