| My Canopy is done!!! I didn't take a whole lot of pictures during the DIY process, but here is what I've got!
Before Painting:
I painted the outside with a high gloss black enamel paint, and the inside with a high gloss white enamel paint.
These are the reflectors I used:
And the 2 fans I bought from grainger: Grainger Industrial Supply: Fan,115 CFM,115 V 4WT46
These are the 2 ballasts that I use:
And these are the 2 14000k M/H bulbs I use:
I installed the 2 fans on the top of the canopy:
Inside right of the Canopy:
Inside left of the Canopy:
And finally, the end result!! Hope you like it! |

| You need more light (: Hey I was just looking back over this thread and on the very first set of pictures on the refugium you look to have a filter sock on the feed pipe from tank ? If it was a filter and you still run it ? I'd yank it off asap.. Just let everything that comes down the line to settle out in the refugium portion thats why its slow flow to allow the solids time to settle out to feed the plants and sand fauna . But the tank looks great, you just need more light _________ Some of the world's greatest feats were accomplished by people not smart enough to know they were impossible (Doug Larson) |
