i having temp problems, tank is staying at 81-84 degrees... lame

chiller...eek... dont even wanna go there....

i have been running 5 , t5 bulbs, instead of the eight, and its staying around 80* like that

im gonna get a fan to blow across top of tank where lights are , to see if i can runn all 8 t5's and stay around 80

i've used plastic zip ties, they work pretty well

i got some of the pvc fixtures for my mag9 but just enough to get the return to the tank up out of the water level on the sump then put flex hosing on that with a normal clamp like that, working great so far, no contact with the water at all so hopefully it remains ok

as to avoid heat transfer?! hmmmmmmmmm good idea... i might do this..

next time I'm around that tank I'll get some pics, it's really working out well, I'm getting ready to start working on a 75g too, Picking up the tank, stand and sump tomorrow, then I'll start working on getting all the plumbing together, want to actually 100% hard plumb this guy and do it right. will be using my spare mag 12 that i have laying around for it to do the return work

We nearly have the same setup. We have a 72 bowed, we are using the same stand as you. We are also using the Mag 7 as a return in a 30 gallon sump. We have the same Koralia powerheads and we are using 8x54 T5s...Keep up the good work, man....
