| You guys aren't kidding. I think the Mrs. is getting tired of stepping over my wreckage. You know it's bad when the dogs are uncertain on where to step.... How clean did you expect the nuclear blast to be???
On a brighter note I got the contraption wired up last night that will allow my lighthouse controller to turn all 3 of my MH's on and off. Nice safety feature if the water gets too hot as well as being able to use the built in timer on the lighthouse. Wish I could have gotten some pictures but my camera is on the fritz.
Going to install the bulkheads tonight and see if I can't get the overflows glued in.
Definitely a work in process. _________ Kris

Definitely a work in process. | Probably a good thing, if the loveseat was still positioned right in front of the TV about 50% of the work would be getting done A lot harder to ignore the work at hand when it is all you can see! Keep up the good work, can't wait to see it all done! You remembered to turn off the RO before it flooded the basement again didn't you?! |

| Well gang the glob of paint was dry enough on the tank last night that I was able to start installing the bulkheads. Tightened down the first one and strip...
tried another one and got it almost tight and strip...
tried another one with the same result. Got to thinking I was overtightening them so I did one by hand and guess what .... strip. Got to really looking at these things and the nut you tighten on the bulkhead was so loose it would rattle when you shook the bulkhead. The nut barely catches the threads. Needless to say I won't be trusting my investment to these.
Called Marine Depot this morning and their going to refund my money once they get the bad bulkheads back. They're even sending me a label so I don't have to pay shipping.
Ended up ordering different bulkheads from our trusty sponser Premium Aquatics.... I'll let you know how it goes.... |

| Well I got the bulkheads in from Premium Aquatics and 2 of the 11 were a different style and the nuts that secure them are very loose. Almost like using a metric nut on a standard bolt... I didn't even try to use them. I'm going to drive up to PA this evening and exchange them.
On a brighter note I got my braces glued in for the overflows last night, got the tank cleaned really well, built my durso standpipes. Also got the last DIY metal halide wired into the canopy, got all of the DIY ballasts wired up including the quick disconnects for quick and easy canopy removal, got the 9 good bulkheads I had installed, and I think that's it....
Going to glue in the overflows tonight, install the rest of the plumbing as well as the bulkhead I'm waiting on and hopefully get this thing back on the stand tonight...
I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to do my aquascaping... |
