    10 Month Update:

Well, I figured it's about time for some new pictures. I never really started a build thread, and I seem to be doing this at random intervals. :cheesy:

*My earlier tank picture threads; please use the thread you are viewing right now as the current (ie - don't bump/post questions in these 2 older threads please :))*

Also of interest, my LED build thread. Do feel free to bump/post questions in this one:

LEDs have been up and running since early October now, and there's probably quite a bit more SPS here than the last time I posted any substantial amount of pictures. I do believe all my wrasses have been captured as well, you'll spot 6 different ones if you look hard enough. The Tomini tang is the latest addition, to help control the trace of algae present. Plus I wanted something with a little orange to round out my fish color wheel ;D. Feel free to ask question about anything you see.

Please excuse the reminants of the brown cyano on the sandbed. This is from my red bug treatment (interceptor) and is on the decline, having peaked a week ago post treatment.

    On to the good stuff:

Terrible picture, but here's the Scott's Wrasse peaking out:

Lastly, one of my favorites acros in the tank. This piece is a RE Midnight Ryder, but it's coloration has done some fantastic things under the LEDs. Note the green rim on the encrustment:

    That's all! :cheesy:

Ha! Yeah, he does seem a bit that way. He found his way there a couple days ago and has been parked there ever since.

It's actually just a ORA green birdsnest, but it's growing a little goofy since it has a bit too much light. :)

    Thank you.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Looks wonderful, love all the color the wrasses add.

I was wondering about the growth on the birdnest, unusual. So you think it is the LED's?

How long have you been running them?

    Thank you!

I do believe the growth of that birdsnest is due to an overabundance of light. It started up there under my old metal halide fixture in August, I do believe. The LEDs have been up since early October. It was beginning to grow under the MHs prior to the transition. I do not believe it is anything specific to the LEDs, as you may notice the Bird of Paradise on the far left side of the tank is growing normally.

    Thank you Steve.

So you're saying you want photos of each individual fish!?!?! :) I can do that, but it'll be a few days. It's on my to-do list....;)

Job well done. I take it that you and your corals are loving the LEDs.
