How many people did it take to move that tank. It is huge. It took me and my oldest boy to move the 90 gallon. It must weigh a ton

Just me and my dad. It helped that we had a dolly and a elevator. Still wasn't light.

Hey Covey, it's obvious you need to consider sand stirrers when you restart the reef to keep the sand from gluing again. Tiger tail cuke will help keep the sand stirred underneath the rocks.

Btw, that stand is looking sweet Covey! Good job!

Well staring at your empty dream tank for a couple weeks can do strange things to a man. I was going to wait until the end of the month but I have done some creative finaces and the tank project is going full bore now!
So I been making a few trips to the all the home stores and bought a bunch of parts.

My new HDPE board from menards $24 with a ton of scrap.

This is good stuff real easy to cut.

My rock racks in progess

I'll take some better pics when its light out.
Tommorow is my day off here is what I got planned:
1) Dremel drill 29G for sump. Should be fun never done it
2) Make sump. This might be REAL creative. All the equipment has to run off of the one short side of the sump. So the sump is going to have to double back on its self.
3) Move Midas ciclid out of 55G and move it.
4) Mod my DIY 55G stand to make it 24" tall to turn it into a sump stand.
5) Plumb sump and pump to tank.
6) Start filling 150G (been making SW for a week with my 10GPD RODI )
7) Once the temp and salinity is matched. Start tranfering SW livestock.
Clean 75G, move and set up for now pissed off Midas.
9) Do the Maxi-Jet prop mod to my MJ1200.
10) With my free time bring about world peace and solve gobal warming

Real though its going to be a busy day. I might break it up between my two days off Fri and Sun but if I get past moving the Midas I have to finish it because I am playing fish music chairs.

Ton of pics to follow.

and its got to be done by tuesday because I set up a group buy to buy snails. I am getting 100 Astreas and 100 Cenith Snails for 52 bucks delivered. I might of watied on all this but I didn't want to add the 100 Ceniths and have to try and fish them out of the sand bed in old tank when I tore it down.

Well after a couple days of hard work I guess I post a half way decent pic.

I still need another 50lbs of rock, more water movement, and the lighting totally going to be redone.
On the water movement I mod'd my first maxi-jet. Oh my god that mod rocks, nothing like 3000+GPH for 30 bucks. I am going to redo the housing as my first attemp was butt ugly but functional.

I guess I thought I would tidey up a bit. Move the wiring out of the way and I got sick of looking at the 2x4 so I tacked a sheet over the stand until I get the real thing done. I think I am going to make the canopy so you can raise or lower the lights as needed.

The reason that I went for the rolling start that I was trying to avoid was I got my snails in from Key Critters. 100 Astrea and 100 Cerith snails for $52 delievered. Not to shabby.

The coral is the happiest it ever been since I started reefkeeping.
