Oh closed loop. I am thinking about that. The circulation system is one of those thing I am up in the air about. Voritechs, a OM 4 way, penductors. The flow is going to be steep. The 75g has about 50X right know and it has alot of dead spots. I would like the new tank to have as much flow as the hot spots in the 75 with no dead spots.

This will be fun to watch as it unfolds. I wish I could do a couple of things different too.
Especially with my sump, I wish it were about fifty gallons. Oh well, I guess I can live vicariously through your tank for a while

Well I thought I would post a pic of the 75G. Think its bad now this the least amount of algae I had in almost 6 months. The urchins do wonders.

I don't like all of that equipment showing. I am going to try avoiding that in the new setup.

Check this out the LFS wanted $45 a piece for the two "Mega Flow Standpipe". Gotta love the internet. Thanks I think I'll built them for $20.

Richard Durso is awsome. Come up with a get idea and sell it but still allows you to make your own.

Covey, I built Durso's for the 300 without knowing it after looking at the Mega Flow's in my 210. Richard said they copied him.

I did modify it on my own before visiting his site. I emailed my mods to Richard. I extended the pickup tube down about 6". I added an air hose to vent hole. I am able to raise and lower the level of the water in the overflow by simply changing the depth of the tube. I marked off the hose in 1" increments so all 4 standpipes match up. They are dialed in at 7". It also made it even quieter.

Good choice and an easy DIY.
