Before/After

Here are some pics of my 55 gallon started in 2002.

55 Gallon (2003)

125 Gallon Startup (2003)

Now (Oct 2007)

Nice to have reference of where tank was, and where it is now.

( Still have almost all the same fish I started out with, with only blue hippo tang gone as it outgrew 125 gallon after spending couple of years in it.)

Wow! Both the 'before' and 'after' pictures are awesome! How long did you have your 'before' (55 g) tank before you went to the 125 gallon tank? I hope my 55 gallon will someday look as nice as your 'before' picture!

Annie,

The 55 was about 1 1/2 years old before it was traded up.

All it takes is time.

Be patient.

Brown Barred Goby (aka: Brownbarred Sleeper Goby, Dragon Goby, Bullet Goby, White-Barred Goby, White-Spotted Goby.)

FOTM - Apr '08 - Brownbarred Goby (Amblygobius phalaena)
Slowly starved to death...Took about 3 mos.

Coris Wrasse - Replacement for my Flame Wrasse, am very happy with.
FOTM - June FOTM June '08 - Yellowtail Coris Wrasse (Coris gaimard)

Four/Twelve Line wrasse - Replacement for 6 line. Have only had for about a week. Not made mind about yet. Not a good replacement for sixline so far. Very shy and flighty. Coris does not like it. Maybe will improve with time.

Snowflake Eel
- moved from Nano to main tank...Reason for couple missing peppermint shrimp??? --- Did witness him grabbing Camelback.

Jewel Damsel

Great addition to Nano. Now gets along fine with percs...best $ I ever spent on a fish. ($3.99)

Growing absolutely out of control. Prune out handfuls monthly

Sadly will have to cut back soon.

Am still missing my all time favorite fish...Flame Wrasse.

Some fish just cannot be replaced by just getting another similar...

All in all, pretty happy with where systems are at...
