| 180 Up and Running! Well, here she is, finally! This picture is a few weeks old and my fiancee ("Tangster" here on 3Reef) is still working on the the hood which will be suspended from the ceiling but other than that, the bulk of the work has been completed. The tank has a 40 gallon breeder tank for a sump and a refugium will be added later as the tank matures.
We're just now starting to see some brown algae so the cycle is in full swing. |

| Always a comedian
Forgot to mention that most of that sand has been removed. We thought it would work its way towards the back of the tank but SOMEBODY put so much rock in there that there's no place for the sand to go
Also, the top part that looks like a hood is actually there to hide the plumbing and overflows and now has the same trim on the top as it does on the bottom. |

| Looking Great!!! I like the stand color too.
UH OH!!!! I see a BB/DSB war coming on.
Add this to your vows.......I promise not to mention 'septic tank' ever again. Should you ever experience sandbed problems, I promise not to say, "I told you so". _________ Curt |

Should you ever experience sandbed problems, I promise not to say, "I told you so". | The sandbed is now only about 1" deep so there will be no septic tank in our house!!! Luckily, both Tangster and I agree when it comes to running shallow sandbeds as opposed to deep ones. We also don't like the look of a barebottom....tank that is
The stand has been painted to match the trim in the living room. It's white with a touch of blue |
