180g would be a good sump for a 800 gallon, I have a 75g you can use as the refuge too

Actually there is a few pictures on a string of a 3000 or so system I set up it has about 150 gal sump on my old 750 I had the smallest rubber maid watering tub like 75 gallons or so I really can't recall the true size of it now. I had a 40 breeder setting around and thats what I use for this tank here but it runs with only 14 to 18 gallons or so about 5 inches deep .

maybe it's the meds... BTW Tang that 3k gallon system posted here is a 600g display thats a little small needs to be atleast a 1k gallon display I'd think to give you the appropriate room
