| If you ran successful salt fish tanks for that long then the move to corals will be easy enough..
Other then tighter water parameters and lighting(depending on types of corals you want ) You will encounter very few problems . Corals are not all that difficult to grow. I'm sure you have a good skimmer already with fish only its a must have (: But welcome and ask questions before applying what you read in a book . Lots of dis-information in the books I think.. It all depends on the Arthur's sponsors (: _________ Some of the world's greatest feats were accomplished by people not smart enough to know they were impossible (Doug Larson) |

| Welcome to 3reef! Best of luck with your tank...
Some of the issues that will need to be addressed with keeping corals especially are, as Tangster mentioned but also the placement of your corals as each corals husbandry requirements are different in terms of lighting and water movement. You also have to be careful of the placement of your corals as different corals have different chemical warfare(nematocysts, mucus etc.) protective toxins. Some are stronger(toxicity wise) than others so this has to be looked at so as to limit the chance of injury or death from one coral making contact with another neighboring coral, however, some corals can basically launch nematocyst or sweeper tentacles into the water column in hopes of these landing on another coral to harm it!
Eric Borneman's Aquarium Corals or Julian Sprung Coral book offer alot of ggod info regarding husbandry, ease of keeping and compatability as well! _________ 125gal.w/Mag9.5 return(dual megaflow)>Mag7 pump Aqua Cev180skimmer.Wave2k Hamilton Reefstar(2)250watthqi(mh)pend.a Yellow, Naso Tang Red Lip Blenny Percula Clown Demoiselles Niger Trigger F.
