under $100 for sure, and maybe maybe under $75 i cant be exact as crap happens. But do remember you will need to by T5 bulbs

Perhaps get this and attach to stock hood somehow comes with reflectors which help get much more light in tank......

These guys are pointing you right for the lighting.

I bought a Coralife dual Compact Florescent Setup, one 10,000 K and one Actinic on separate switches, which simulates dusk and dawn.

My tank is the same dimension as a 29 but it's 38 tall.

All of my rock has great coralline algae growth and my corals are thriving just fine with the two 65 watt CFB.

Good luck.

Keep us posted on what you decide.

Oh, and by the way the tang likes to nip at corals and he will outgrow the 29 quickly.
Tangs do well with a minimum of 70 gallons I read.
