Default introduction

Hello all from Lil Rhody!! No, we are not a part of Long Island, and no, we are not an island at all! We do have great beaches and a relatively clean estuary in Narragansett Bay. The Gulf stream flows by in the summer months, and if you are lucky you might catch a glimpse of some real beauties.
I have been in the hobby since JANUARY, I received an oceanic Biocube 8 gallon as a gift, and decided to try my first reef??? Yes I know what you are thinking, how much are your co-pays to the psychiatrist? lol
Seriously though, I had a heater malfunction early on and completely understand the term "kill box." Since then things have been better, and I have a Pipe organ coral, a purple mushroom, a pulsating xenia and a frogspawn. Fish population includes a grumpy shrimpgoby, a six line wrasse, and a percula clown. I do 20% water changes weekly, and recently found out the LFS sells RO water for 75cent/gallon, so will use this.
I am looking forward to anty and all help, and I am here if I can help??

Glad to have you join up with us.

Won't take long for that shrimp goby to out grow that tank.

No matter, by that time you will be ready for a larger one anyway...

Meet mine.

He is a great fish, also grumpy with lots of character...
