| Hi, A Newbie Hello,
My name is Chadwick...I am a student living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I am a 100% newbie when it comes to salt-water fish. I currently own nothing...so I am hear to learn as much as I can about the subject, recommendation for equipment, species, feeding, etc. I spent a little bit of time talking to my mom's boyfriend about the salt-water aquarium he had several years ago and it peaked my interest. Hope to meet some new people...possibly from the Pittsburgh area.
Thanks,
Chadwick |

| i live in the philadelphia area. Just like you I knew nothing back in January. I did a lot of research and asked a lot of questions. Now I have a nice 55 gallon set up going with some corals and fish. Everything will seem overwhelming right now, but learn and heed advice. You will begin to understand things pretty soon. You biggest decision will be lighting, it depends on what you want in your tank, but that comes later. if you have any questions just ask, if you want info on my setup and what mistakes i did feel free to message me. Welcome!

| I will say being a very big newbie also only having my tank for 1 month. Find someone in your area that can help you make big decissions because if you have someone to help you it makes it a lot easier. This group of people is very helpful but not all of us can go to the store with you. Also make friends with your LFS....they will be a great help to but find a store that you like. There are many stores but if you find one you trust that is very helpful also! Sorry for spelling errors...spell check isn't working for me right now! |
