Exclamation Hello New to the hobby

I'm currently running a 75 gallon aquarium fish only so far aquarium. It has just base rock so far with 3 fish lion, puffer and long nose. Its been going for exactly 1 year now. I'm running and amiracle wet dry trickle filter with hang on skimmer box. I'm currently trying to figure out a skimmer i bought on ebay and not having good luck. (Jebo quadplex skimmer. It keeps filling cup with water. I've tried adjusting everything but by morning the cup is filled with water. I wish i could get it to work its driving me nuts especially since it puts out allot of bubbles.

hello and welcome
about your skimmer. Temperature maybe the problem. What is the temperature of your tank? When my tank temperature rise I get more water in the cup. just my opinion.

Welcome aboard mate. That skimmer is the same chit as the Odyssea brand. If I was in your shoes, pack that skimmer in the same box it came from and return it or resell it on ebay. I once bought the Odyssea ps160 skimmer and I couldnt figure it out either. Its a piece of chit, pardon my french. Didnt come with instructions or a manual and the collection cup would fill up with water just like yours. Some ppl have modified it and is working for them, but unfortunately, Iam not one of those ppl. In my exp. theres two pieces of equipment that you shoudnt go cheap, lights and skimmers. Good luck with what you choose. Luna

To 3Reef!!!

Salutations! Glad to see you found way here!

Sounds like a nice tank.

Sounds like your skimmer is working overtime...definetly need a better one to continue on.

Am clueless about how to move from a fish only tank to a reef...

Move fish to other tank during cycle???

Am sure others can give good advice here.

Good Luck!

Welcome to the club of Suckers that bought that P.O.S. I have one sitting in a bucket of scrap/junk. I could NEVER get it adjusted and the cup always filled with water, and yeah, the bubbles......Like Luna said. Pack it up and resell it or ship it back or maybe mod it to make a nice little phos reactor......it won't do ya any good other than that! IMO get a new(better) one, AquaC is reasonable($) and they make one heck of a skimmer! JEBO=JUNKO Ask around before you do buy another one, cause there's lots-o-junk out there!
