| Hello from Massachusetts Hi All!
I am a newbie to salt water aquariums, and have been cycling for about 3 weeks now. I was at my LFS and another customer recommended this site to me. Looks like it will be a great help.
Hello to all out there!! And no worries, I will be picking your brains soon!

| Thank you already! I am thanking this customer already. I am trying to be as patient as possible with my new tank, and noticed yesterday some brown algae on the sand. Then by the time I got home from work, noticed there was a lot more.
From my reading on this site, I am crossing my fingers and hoping this is just one of those new tank cycling things. I will also be reducing my light as well. |

That sounds like diatoms, nothing to worry about in the cycling stage of your tank. |
