Default hello and longhorned cowfish; thumbs up or down?

Hi all,
I found this forum when I first setup my 55 in wall reef tank and really liked the advice. That was 6mths ago and all is well (really well as nothing has died yet and things are starting to appear like loads or coraline algae, featherdusters, etc) and I figured its time to add some more stuff.
My g/f wants a long horned cowfish so I came back for your thoughts on them in a reef? I still have starter fish; damsel, sailfin, clown and 2 others I dont no the name for.
Also, I'm looking for a really nice digital water quality monitor. Do they make any that are web accessible? I want to monitor as much as possible. There are prolly a ton of post about them but I figured I ask anyhow in case someone really likes there unit.
Cheers.

To 3Reef!!!

Salutations! Glad to see you found way here!

Long horned cowfish are really cool.

My worry would be about poison they release if injured or really stressed. Could kill everything else in tank.

Many people have them. But for me, would be thumbs down. Sorry.

Let us know what you decide and post some pics.

WELCOME TO 3 REEF!!!!!!!!!!

Long horn cow fish Are very toxin to everything else and they like to carry black ick and its nasty to get out of your tank I would say pass On this until you have some time in the hobby and I would have a complete hospital setup for the rest of my fish I still am not sure I would put one in my reefs maybe in my tesselatta tank LOL. Good luck if you decide to get one though just be careful.

I've never know a box fish to realise it venom or ink - I think it would be fine as long as you dont have something in there that will try to eat it. They eat polyps tho, well thats what my lfs says.
