| Hello. I'm new to the hobby. Hi everyone. My husband and I have a new saltwater tank. We just got 2 clown fish and some live rock. We love it so far. I do have a question. We were thinking about getting a Koran angelfish. We read online that they get to about 4"-6" but when we were at the petstore, they had one and it said they get to 15"!! I couldn't believe it. Does anyone know how large these fish actually get? I would love to have one, but don't want it to get 15"! Thank you so much! |

| According to my "book", it says they can grow up to 15" in lenth and needs at least 135g tank. It also says that their not reef safe. | They can grow in excess of 12 inches but if you get a small one it is going to take a good deal of time for it to get that large. Can you give us your tank stats like tank life, size, and what equipment your using. I second the welcome to 3reef!

| Thanks! Kind of disappointing, but I'll find another cool fish. My tank is only a 30 gallon hexagon, LOL. It's definately not big enough. We are only going to get maybe 1 or 2 more fish in addition to the two clownfish we have, plus a banded coral shrimp and some snails. In maybe a year, we will get a 100-150 gal tank and make it a reef and fish tank. |

| To 3Reef!!! Salutations! Glad to see you found way here!
Give us some stats on your tank. Size, how long up and of course some pics.
Koran Anglefish is beautiful when young. Not so as they mature. And they do get big.
Lots of other great looking angels out there if that is what you are planning on keeping.
Good Luck!
