Default Hello and how do i set my protein skimmer up

Howdy everyone. My partner and I live about 2.5hours south of Sydney. We are relatively new to marine aquariums and have had ours running now for about 7 weeks. We live very close to the coast so set up our tank by collecting 160L of sea water - that was fun! It has live rock in it, two chromis fish, one bicolour angel, one sea-cucumber, a piece of brain coral, some other coral (not sure what) and some coral sand. I have a Jebo 180 protein skimmer and am not sure if I have set it up correctly. Should the air injection control be closed right up or open? I tried reading the instructions but gave up (they should be called destructions!). Hoping someone can help me. Thanks.

To 3Reef!!!

GREAT! another new member from the land down under.

Sorry, don't have a "jebo" - But my sugguestion would be to put air-control valve in center...then adjust if skimmate is too think or too watery...your choice.

Open the air control valve about 3/4 way and let it run a few days until it breaks in then adjust it for maw dry foam in the cup.. If it's mixing air and water in the reactor chamber then it will take off once all the oils and plastic has slimed over in a few days . But this in a general what to do (: You can adjust it as you go along you'll see what a little tweak one way or the other works best and go from there..
I just put a Precision Marine Bullet 3 skimmer on line a few weeks ago and I just got it totally dialed in last week. A ETSS I know inside and out..

Thanks for the help. The instructions were not very helpful at all, and you guys have been great. Will be back again with more questions. Particularly and what fish and other creatures to get next.
Cheers
