Default Hello from Ft. Worth, TX

My name is Keith Crow. I live in Ft. Worth, TX and have just started a 90 gallon reef aquarium. Things are going well so far. I am in the cycling phase. Currently I run:

90 Gallon Ocean View Aquarium with cabinet and hood
30 Gallon Sump with 3 chambers.
Euro-Reef Protein Skimmer (skimming nicely, getting some good dark "stuff")
100% Live Sand (about 5-6" deep)
100% Live Rock (from 2 sources) ~110 lbs.
Solaris Lighting System (computer controlled). Sure makes that tank shine plus it's beautiful at night with the moonlight!

Tank has been running for about 3 weeks. Getting some good algae growth.

Just introduced about 15 hermit crabs and 15 Turbo snails which are currently busy chomping away at the algae.

Will keep you posted on the status of what will be added next.

Current water tests are showing all levels in the normal range for a new tank. Ammonia and Nitrate a touch high for my comfort but I am attributing that to the "cycling" process and the introduction of some new critters to the tank.

Thanks guys.......I had a salt tank about 20 years ago.......

Things are sure different these days. Glad to not be dealing with all those stinky bio-balls.
