What a Neat Site!
As a newbie to the Fish world (is that the politically correct term?), I have found the site absolutely full of fascinating info. And, the huge number of links I've connected to has left me with even more questions than I first started with!! As close as I've ever come to fish before is a small tank (housed with mice) as a child. Fish are so much more beautiful and far more costly. I think the local fish guy has me pegged as a sucker. He's probably right! I'm sure I already own half of his store!

Welcome to 3reef. Always remember that fish stores are out to make money so watch what they are trying to sell you. Research your stuff first then lay the $ down.

Welcome. I'm fairly new myself and after joining 3R, it take me long to figuer out that the LFS (all 3 of them here in town) would just tell me what I wanted to hear. I don't ask them any more - I read and ask my questions here. And 3reefers are not into sacrificing fish or inverts to cycle, nor are they supporters of raping the oceans for corals.
