| Hello from Charleston Just wanted to pop in and say Hey from Charleston, South Carolina. I'm a coastal zone manager with a background in marine science and also a avid diver...so obviously I've always wanted a SW aquarium. I have been reading all the material I can get my hands on for the past 6 months and I have slowly been buying the equipment when funds allow.
I am planning on having a 55 gallon FOWLR tank and I am going to take the plunge within the next 2-3 weeks. Will lurk around here for now and then post pics once I get everything up and running. I'm sure I will have questions along the way.

I love Charleston, lucky you. Such a nice town. Took dozens of vacations there.
Good luck with your tank. |

| Hi there!!! Welcome to 3reef! I love S. Carolina as my parents live in Myrtle Beach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best of luck with your tank...You say FOWLR tank now.Take it from me>>>you will want to change to a full blown reef tank sooner than later-trust me...We all have a sickness and are broke supporting our addiction.
Do yourself a favor, buy with the assumption you will be setting up a reef tank in the near future. Get a next size up skimmer, and metal halide lighting to start...you won't be sorry! _________ 125gal.w/Mag9.5 return(dual megaflow)>Mag7 pump Aqua Cev180skimmer.Wave2k Hamilton Reefstar(2)250watthqi(mh)pend.a Yellow, Naso Tang Red Lip Blenny Percula Clown Demoiselles Niger Trigger F. | Thanks for all the kind welcomes...and the compliments on the wonderful city that I live in. I definitely enjoy Charleston to its fullest and glad that my dad found a job down here (moved from Pennsylvania) 15 years ago. Been here since.
Back to the aquarium, I was definitely planning on forking over the extra money and just buying things that would support a larger tank in the future and with any hobby that I have, I ALWAYS want more and I'm sure SW aquariums will be the same.
Thanks in advance for the help that I'm sure I'll get from the wealth of knowledge and experience you all have.
