Hello Hey all. I'm new to this site, so thought I would explain what I know about tank setup. The tank is 30 gallons. Not sure what size or type of filter. Came with tank. The lights are Nova Extreme 48 Watt T5 HO. Have some kind of powerhead and of course a heater. We have 2 domino damsels, 2 false perculas, a haddoni carpet anemone, rock anemone, ricordea green mushroom, umbrella mushroom, some other kind of mystery item that came with order that was made. We also have an arrow crab, some hermits, and turbo snails, and an emerald crab. Also a lettuce nudibranch. Tank hasn't been setup for long. We know we shouldn't have the anemones so soon, but we weren't aware prior to purchasing. Now we're have problems with anemones. We think. lol Any opinions would be much appreciated.

The box says says 48W total. 24 watt 460nm actinic slimpaq T5 HO and 24 watt 10000K slimpaq T5 HO. We are pretty sure we need more watts. Not sure if we should just sell the one we have or purchase another like it. Any suggestions?

The rock anemone moved across the rock that he was placed on and wedged itself underneath. By morning, it had opened up and knocked the whole rock to the sand. We put it back where it was. He is now completely underneath the rock and towards the backside of the tank. The carpet anemone was open fully after a few hours in the tank. After we had the lights off during the night(someone told us we should do this) it kind of shriveled up. We turned the lights back on the next morning and after a hour or so he opened back up. Later in the day, he shriveled up again and his mouth was open very wide. We didn't mess with it, thought maybe it was in shock. It opened back up, so we decided to feed it. He caught the shrimp in his tentacles, but dropped it. We thought he was trying to move down the rock to pick it up off the sand, but he kind of shriveled up and moved behind the rock. He seems to have opened back up some. Is it just the lighting or do we need to feed something different?

It's way too early. We've only had the tank 4 months. All the levels were perfect until we added the new items the other day. Then everything we up, but not alot. We were told that it was normal when adding new items.

| I would turn in the anemone's to a LFS. Its not worth the risk if one takes a dive. Try them again after the tank is well established and you get more powerful lights. JMHO

We know the tank is too small now, but we really don't want to get rid of it.
